"That's What I Like"

Kiss me, kiss me baby,
That's what I like!
Hold me, hug me, pet me baby,
That's what I like!

You don't have to give me,
Clever conversation!
I just want affection,
Not an education!

Kiss me, hold me, hug me baby,
That's what I like you to do!
Love me, love me,
Love me baby too!

"The Christmas Song"

"The Christmas Song"

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire
Jack Frost nipping at your nose
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir
And folks dressed up like Eskimos

Everybody knows
A turkey and some mistletoe
will help to make the season bright
Tiny tots with their eyes all a-glow
will find it hard to sleep tonight

They know that Santa's on his way
He's loaded lots of toys
an' goodies on his sleigh
And every mother's child is gonna spy
To see if reindeer really know
how to fly

And so I'm offering this simple phrase
to kids from one to ninety-two
Although it's been said
many times many ways
Merry Christmas to you!

[instrumental break]

Although it's been said
many times many ways
Merry Christmas... to you!

"The Gypsy In My Soul"

"The Gypsy In My Soul"

If I am fancy free,
And love to wander,
It's just the Gypsy in my soul!

There's somethin' callin' me
From way out yonder,
It's just the Gypsy in my soul!

I've got to give vent to my emotions,
I'm only content havin' my way...
Hmm, there is no other life,
Of which I'm fonder,
It's just the Gypsy in my soul!
No cares!

No strings!
My heart,
It has wings!
If I am fancy free,
And I love to wander,
It's just the Gypsy in my soul!

[instrumental bridge]

And I love to wander,
It's just the Gypsy in my soul!
In my soul!
The Gypsy, in my soul!

"The Lord's Prayer"

Our Father, which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors; (As we forgive our debtors!)
And lead us not into temptation,

But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
And the power, and the glory, forever!
Amen

"The Shadow Of Your Smile"

"The Shadow Of Your Smile"

One day we walked along the sand
One day in early spring...
You held a piper in your hand
To mend it's broken wing
Now, I'll remember many a day
An' many a lonely mile
The echo of a piper's song
An' the shadow of a smile!

The shadow of your smile
When you are gone...
Will color all my dreams
And light the dawn...
Look into my eyes, my love, and see
All the lovely things you are... you are to me!

Our wistful little star
Was far too high...
A teardrop kissed your lips
And so did I...
Now, when I remember spring,
All the joy that love can bring...
I will be remembering,
The shadow of your smile!

[instrumental break]

All the joy that love can bring...

"The Songs I Love"

"The Songs I Love"

The songs they're playin' that we both romanced to,
Those lovely songs we stayed up late and danced to,
They taught me where my heart belongs,
These are the songs I love!

The tender melodies we often sighed to,
That special one we said good-bye and cried to,
Because they righted all the wrongs,
These are the songs I love!

The happy rhymes, the underscored,
The happy time when we found spring together.

The pretty themes, that underscored the pretty dreams,
That make us cling together!

These songs we'll call our own and face the years with,
We'll face the laughter, yes, and face the tears with,
They'll help us through the rain and shine,
These songs I love because these songs are yours and mine!

"The Story Of The First Christmas"

"The Story Of The First Christmas"

This is Perry Como...
And I'd like to tell you the most wonderful, the most beautiful,
The most exciting story in the whole world,
The Story of the First Christmas!

Now suppose you make believe this is many, many years ago,
A long time before you were born!
You're standing on a hillside, near a little town in Palestine,
Do you see the man in the distance, walking slowly, leading a donkey?
His name is Joseph!
Someone is sitting on the back of the donkey,
And her name is Mary!
They've come a long, long way,
And they're heading for a little town near the hillside,
On which we're standing!
Something very special will happen in this little town tonight!
For this is the little town of Bethlehem!

Oh little town of Bethlehem,
How still we see thee lie,
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep,
The silent stars go by!
Yet in thy dark streets shineth,
The everlasting light!
The hopes and fears of all the years,
Are met in thee tonight!

Let's follow Joseph and Mary into the town of Bethlehem,
It's getting dark and all of the rooms at the Inn are taken,
But the kindly Innkeeper tells them
They could spend the night at a stable nearby!

Now I told you something was gonna happen, and it did!
A baby boy is born to Mary and Joseph,
Whom they call Jesus!
They have no baby's crib, so Mary puts little Jesus to sleep,
In the soft sweet hay of a manger!

Come, come, come to the manger,
Children sing and asleep on the hay,
Sing, sing, chorus of Angels,
Little Lord Jesus is born on this day!

Jesus is asleep in the manger,
So let's tiptoe out to the hillside near Bethlehem,
Where the Shepherds are tending their flock.

All at once the Shepherds are frightened,
You'd be frightened too,
Because a great light suddenly shines in the sky!
Even the animals are hushed and still,
But then you hear the voice of an Angel of the Lord!
And you're no longer frightened,
For the Angel brings good news,
News of a Saviour born this day,
News of Christ the Lord!

The First Noel! the Angels did say,
Was to certain poor Shepherds,
In fields as they lay, in fields where they,
Lay keeping their sheep,
On a cold winter's night, that was so deep!
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel!
Born is the King of Israel!

Well, we're still with the Shepherds,
On the hillside near Bethlehem.
We hear the Shepherds ask the Angel,

Where to find the Christ-child?
And the Angel tells them to go to the manger.
And as they leave the sky is filled with other Angels singing,
Glory to God! And on Earth Peace, Goodwill, to Men!

The Shepherds hurry to the manger,
Fall on their knees before the baby,
And they worship him!
For He is Christ the Lord!

Oh! Come all ye faithful,
Joyful and triumphant!
Oh Come ye, Oh Come ye, to Bethlehem!
Come and behold Him,
Born the King of Angels,
Oh! Come let us adore Him,
Oh! Come let us adore Him,
Oh! Come let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord!

And now, look up into the sky!
Do you see that bright star twinkling in the heavens?
Far away, three men are looking at that star just as we are!
They're riding on camels,
And they're using the star as a guide to lead them to the Christ-child.
Who are these three men who follow the star?

We Three Kings of Orient are,
Bearing gifts, we traverse afar,
Field and fountain, moor and mountain,
Following yonder star!

Yes, the three men on the camels are the three wise men,
The new star guides them straight to Bethlehem,
To a little baby lying in a manger!
There the three wise men present gifts to the Christ-child,
The first Christmas gifts ever given to anyone,
A gift of gold, of frankincense, and of Mir!

And they too fall on their knees to worship Him,
And now, a great peace settles on the night,
For it is the Holy Night!

Silent night, holy night,
All is calm, all is bright,
'Round yon virgin mother and child,
Holy infant so tender and mild!
Sleep in heavenly peace,
Sleep in heavenly peace!

This is why when we celebrate Christmas,
We think of Bethlehem,
We think of the Virgin Mary,
We think of the three wise men,
And the birth of the Christ-child!
The First Christmas!

Oh! Come let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord!

"The Sweetest Sounds"

"The Sweetest Sounds"

The sweetest sounds I'll ever hear,
Are still inside my head!
The kindest words I'll ever know,
Are waiting to be said!

The most entrancing sight of all,
Is yet for me to see!
And the dearest love in all the world,
Is waiting somewhere for me,
Is waiting somewhere,

Somewhere for me!

And the dearest love in all the world,
Is waiting somewhere for me,
Is waiting somewhere,
Somewhere for me!

"The Way You Look Tonight"

"The Way You Look Tonight"

Someday, when I'm awfully low
When the world is cold
I will feel a glow just thinking of you
And the way you look tonight

Oh, but you're lovely
With your smile so warm and your cheeks so soft
There is nothing for me but to love you
Just the way you look tonight

With each word your tenderness grows
Tearing my fear apart
And that laugh that wrinkles your nose
Touches my foolish heart

Lovely, never, never change
Keep that breathless charm
Won't you please arrange it 'cause I love you
just the way you look tonight

Just the way you look tonight

"The Whiffenpoof Song"

"The Whiffenpoof Song"

To the tables down at Morey's
To the place where Louis dwells
To the dear old temple bar we love so well...
Sing the Whiffenpoofs assembled
With their glasses raised on high,
And the magic of their singing cast it's spell...

Yes, the magic of their singing,
Of the songs we love so well,
Shall l wasting and Mavourneen and the rest,
We will serenade our Louis! (We will serenade our Louis!)
While life and voice shall last!
Then we'll pass and be forgotten like the rest...

We're poor little lambs
Who have lost our way
Baa Baa Baa!
We're little black sheep
Who have gone astray
Baa Baa Baa!
Gentlemen songsters off on a spree
(Doomed...) Doomed from here to eternity
(Lord...) Lord, have mercy on such as we
Baa Baa Baa!
