John William Godward

John William Godward je rodjen 9 avgusta 1861, a umro 13.decembra 1922 g. Bio je engleski slikar neoklasicizma. Izvrsio je samoubistvo u 61-oj godini I u poruci je napisao: “ Svijet nije dovoljno veliki za Pikasa I mene “. Ni jedna njegova fotografija nije sacuvana. Kada se 1912 g. preselio u Italiju, sa jednim svojim modelom, porodica je prekinula sve kontakte s njim, cak su ga isjekli sa svih porodicnih fotografija.
