"No Man's Land"

Hey come and make it easy
Hey come and make it back
It's no use to be free
If lies are all the truth they see
They'll screw up what you do
When you're through

Hey come and make it easy
Hey come and make it back
If you need a friend
And you need a way to lose the end
You know a place for you
When you're through

Hey come and make it easy
Hey come and make it back
It's no use to be free
If lies are all the truth they see
They'll screw up what you do
When you're through

"Nottamun Town"

In Nottamun Town, not a soul would look up
Not a soul would look up
Not a soul would look down
Not a soul would look up
Not a soul would look down
To show me the way to fair Nottamun Town
When the king and the queen and a company more
Were a-walking behind
And riding before
Come a stark naked drummer
A-beating the drum
With his hands on his bosom come marching along
Sat down on a hard, hard cold frozen stone
Ten thousand stood around me
Yet I was alone
Took my hat in my hands
For to keep my head warm
Ten thousand got drownded that never was born
In Nottamun Town, not a soul would look up
Not a soul would look up
Not a soul would look down
Not a soul would look up
Not a soul would look down
To show me the way to fair Nottamun Town

"Now Be Thankful"

"Now Be Thankful"

When the stone is grown too cold to kneel
In crystal waters I will be bound
Cold as stone, weary to the sounds upon the wheel
Now be thankful for good things below
Now be thankful to your maker
For the rose, the red rose blooms for all to know
When the fire is grown too fierce to breathe
In burning irons I will be bound
Fierce as fire weary to the sounds upon the wheel
Now be thankful for good things below
Now be thankful to your maker
For the rose, the red rose blooms for all to know
When the stone is grown too cold to kneel
In crystal waters I'll be bound
Cold as stone, weary to the sounds upon the wheel
Now be thankful for good things below
Now be thankful to your maker
For the rose, the red rose blooms for all to know

"One More Chance"

"One More Chance"

Calling all olive branches and laid off doves
There is work to do before we say goodbye
But who can see them turning to the face of love
Though I hear them pleading with me, don't let us die
As I sit I can see their troubled souls wander by
And I feel them leaning on my shoulder to cry
Oh, one more chance
Naked tree of winter seems to stand so proud
Lording the poor mortal as he goes
And the tears which well beneath his somber shroud
Will they fall with the shame of somebody who knows
He can never be like the thought of a rose
Whose beauty remains, even when the bloom goes
Oh, oh, one more chance
Or is it too late to change the ways we're bound to go
Is it too late, there's surely one of us must know
Is it too late to change the ways we're bound to go
Is it too late, there's surely one of us must know
Is it too late, there's surely one of us must know
Is it too late to change the ways we're bound to go
Is it too late, there's surely one of us must know

"One Sure Thing"

He used to be the only man I would see
He used to be the only good man for me
Oh, he used to be my one sure thing
Look at me now, what you see, it isn't me
Look at me now, just a leaf without a tree
Oh, he used to be my one sure thing
My man, he doesn't care for me
And what he does, he doesn't do for me
And when I need something
To him, it doesn't mean a thing
You know he used to be my one sure thing
My man, he doesn't care for me
And what he does, he doesn't do for me
And when I need something
To him, it doesn't mean a thing
You know he used to be my one sure thing

"Open The Door, Richard"
(originally by Bob Dylan)

Well, there's certain things
That I learned from Jim
He'd always make sure I'd understand
That there is a certain way
That we all must swim
If we expect to live off
Of the fat of the land
Open the door, Richard
I've heard it said before
Open the door, Richard
I've heard it said before
But I ain't gonna hear it said no more
There's a certain thing
That I learned from my friend, Mouse
A man who never even blushes
That we must expect to always flush out our house
If we don't want goin' 'round housing flushes
Open the door, Richard
I've heard it said before
Open the door, Richard
I've heard it said before
And I ain't gonna hear it said no more
"Take care of all your memories"
Said Mick
"For you cannot relive them
Remember that when you're out there
Tryin' to heal the sick
That you must always
First forgive them"
Open the door, Richard
I've heard it said before
Open the door, Richard
I've heard it said before
But I ain't gonna hear it said no more
Open the door, Richard
I've heard it said before
Open the door, Richard
I've heard it said before
And I ain't gonna hear it said no more

"Our Bus Rolls On"

"Our Bus Rolls On"

Our bus rolls on
To another town, a different song
And the audiences come along
To hear the music play
So together we can walk awhile
Bring your fiddle tune, dancing style
And we're ready for the weary mile
It's another day
Peggie on the bass with a smiling face
He loves the Breton way
Never more happy in the seaside air
With his sunburnt face, he plays
Simon picks such a cool guitar
From a California maker
He came along for the very first song
Original mover and shaker
Our bus rolls on
To another town, a different song
And the audiences come along
To hear the music play
So together we can walk awhile
Bring your fiddle tune, dancing style
And we're ready for the weary mile
It's another day
Ric's so hip, he's a fiddler fine
With beautiful instrumentals
He'll take you to Portmeirion
On the black-and-white TV rental
Gerry sits and keeps the pace
His way is time and groove
A giant of percussive sound
His hands are always on the move
While the bus rolls
I love strings, those kind of things
To write a song or two
I have no fear when my friends appear
It's all I want to do
The time it goes and comes around
Fifty years and counting
Here's to the band called family
And those blown off that mountain
Our bus rolls on
To another town, a different song
And the audiences come along
To hear the music play
So together we can walk awhile
Bring your fiddle tune, dancing style
And we're ready for the weary mile
It's another day

"Over The Next Hill"

"Over The Next Hill"

Forever, forever the road goes on forever
If your wheels are burning up the miles
And you're wearing down shoe leather
And your face is frozen in a smile
And the road goes on forever
Forever, forever
The road goes on forever
Over the next hill
Maybe there's good weather
If you're flying over table top
Eyes wide with wine and wonder
Or lazy counting kangaroos
In the dingle days down under
Down under, down under
In dingle days down under
Over the next hill
There's no more rain or thunder
Though you chose the open road when you were willing
To sing and dance and take the tambourine and the shilling
All the secret tricks and footsteps you were learning
But once the stone begins to roll, it's not the turning
Like a rolling stone
With no direction home
Though you chose the open road when you were willing
To sing and dance and take the tambourine and the shilling
All the secret tricks and footsteps you were learning
But once the stone begins to roll, it's not the turning
Like a rolling stone
With no direction home
If you're pacing in the dressing room
Where there's no fresh paint or windows
Or you're strutting on some dusty stage
And wondering where the time goes
The time goes, the time goes
Wondering where the time goes
Over the next hill
They say there will be rainbows
Oh rainbows, rainbows
Somewhere over rainbows
Over the next hill
Who knows where the time goes

"Percy's Song"
(originally by Bob Dylan)

Bad news, bad news
Come to me where I sleep
Turn, turn, turn again
Sayin' one of your friends
Is in trouble deep
Turn, turn to the rain
And the wind

Tell me the trouble
Tell me once to my ear
Turn, turn, turn again
Joliet prison
And ninety-nine years
Turn, turn to the rain
And the wind

Oh what's the charge
Of how this came to be
Turn, turn, turn again
Manslaughter
In the highest of degree
Turn, turn to the rain
And the wind

I sat down and wrote
The best words I could write
Turn, turn, turn again
Explaining to the judge
I'd be there on Wednesday night
Turn, turn to the rain
And the wind

Without a reply
I left by the moon
Turn, turn, turn again
And was in his chambers
By the next afternoon
Turn, turn to the rain
And the wind

Could you tell me the facts?
I said without fear
Turn, turn, turn again
That a friend of mine
Should get ninety-nine years
Turn, turn to the rain
And the wind

A crash on the highway
Flew the car to a field
Turn, turn, turn again
There were four persons killed
And he was at the wheel
Turn, turn to the rain
And the wind

That may be true
He's got a sentence to serve
Turn, turn, turn again
But ninety-nine years
He just don't deserve
Turn, turn to the rain
And the wind

And at that the judge jerked forward
And his face it did freeze
Turn, turn, turn again
Sayin', "Could you kindly leave
My office now, please"
Turn, turn to the rain
And the wind

Well his eyes looked funny
And I stood up so slow
Turn, turn, turn again
With no other choice
Except for to go
Turn, turn to the rain
And the wind

I walked down the hallway
And I heard his door slam
Turn, turn, turn again
I walked down the courthouse stairs
And I did not understand
Turn, turn to the rain
And the wind

And I played my guitar
Through the night to the day
Turn, turn, turn again
And the only tune
My guitar could play
Was, "The old Cruel Rain
And the Wind"

Stand up my friend
We're heading out to the western lands
Out towards the sacred isle of Avalon
Come walk with me
Time is short and the road is long
The road that leads to the sacred isle of Avalon
Hold out your hand
I will show you a land full of promise
Remember Finn McCool, Brendan, Bran And Maeldun
They've gone before us to the shores of Avalon
So come take my hand
I will show you a land full of promise
Take heed as you go
There's many danger, fiend and foe
Waiting for us on the road of Avalon
And do not step aside
No matter what temptation lies
In waiting for us on the road of Avalon
Hold out your hand
I will show you a land full of promise
