One of the collaborators for yt-dlp.exe at Github suggested it was a problem of recent versions of mpv and the issue was closed. It seams they will never fix it. We might have to stick to version 2023.02.27 for now. I will make some more tests with older versions of mpv to see if it is possible...

I had the same problem a few days ago with youtube, because they seem to have made some obscure changes, however you only need to update the yt-dlp.exe, after that all youtube playback is restored.

If you delete mpv-1.dll, you won't be able to watch anything, because this is the main library responsible for decoding the video and audio signal. I advise you instead to download the latest libmpv-2.dll library from the links @salezli kindly provided a few posts back. And of course, you CAN...
