K-Lite Codec Pack is a collection of codecs and related tools. Codecs are required to encode and/or decode (play) audio and video. The K-Lite Codec Pack is designed as a user-friendly solution for playing all your movie files.

Satsuki Decoder Pack is an audio/video auto-installable filters and decoders for Windows 2000/2003/XP/Vista.

The purpose of this pack is to decode most of video files.
This pack contains only filters and decoders (with some exceptions), it avoids conflict.

Satsuki Decoder Pack is a 100% FREE, non-commercial product and doesn't contain spyware, adware or any other hidden programs!

How to install Satsuki Decoder Pack 4.3.0.1 :

• To configure accurately the decoder pack's filter you can use the config panel provided with the pack witch can:
- Unable or disable filters
- Configure filters
- Backup filters settings
- Do associations of files with players
If you want you can do a silent install, it's as in decoder pack 3.x.x.x:
- Do a standard install of Satsuki Decoder Pack.
- Go into Satsuki Decoder Pack install folder (program files\satsuki decoder pack\).
- Copy "satsukidecodersettings.ini" file.
- Paste "satsukidecodersettings.ini" in the Satsuki.Decoder.Pack.4.3.0.1.exe executable folder.
• To do a silent install you now just need to use the command line "Satsuki.Decoder.Pack.4.3.0.1.exe /S" to reproduice the same install silently (for the player the settings remain by on mpc for videos and by default for the other file to avoid bad associations in the case of an uninstalled player).

• It took me a lot of time because of some personnal projets witch take me a lot of time.
Thanks to all the mails and donations it helps me a lot to keep this software alive and free.
First, why 4.3.0.1 and not 4.0.0.1 ?
Because the version of the decoder pack is based on the 4.0.0.0 but i've rewrite some 3.X.X.X functions (advanced options, speakers type, silent install with /S witch...).
It's the first version of the decoder pack 4 with some fuctions of the decoder pack 3 so 4.3.0.1
• Corrected:
- Delete the temp "SDPbackup" folder at the end of the installation.
- Added a missing vb6 dll to use the decoder pack's Control Panel.
- Corrected some garbage text at the end of the gpl licence (thanks maxim maximov).
- Corrected a bug witch quit the installer if you uncheck the licence agreement (thanks maxim maximov).
- MPC video renderer is now "default" instead of overlay (correction of some video bug on some graphic chipset).
- MPC video renderer is now "EVR" by default if vista or seven is detected (correction of a zoom bug on some nvidia drivers).
- The silent install mode is now fonctionnal (/S).
- Some of the installer buttons wasn't visible with window vista/seven in some configuration (thanks Jordi).
- Finalised the installer theme.
- Added a missing directX9 dll needed for some renderer in MPC.
- Added vobsub as an external filter in mpc on windows seven (correct a missing subtitle bug on windows seven in mpc).
- Corrected a register of one of the satsuki decoder pack control panel dll on vista.
- When you update the decoder pack (or reinstall it without uninstallation) the advanced setting are restored (post processing, resize, audio egaliser...).

FFDShow MPEG-4 Video Decoder





FFDShow is a DirectShow decoding filter for decompressing DivX, XviD, H.264, FLV1, WMV, MPEG-1 and MPEG-2, MPEG-4 movies. It uses libavcodec from ffmpeg project for video decompression, postprocessing code from mplayer to enhance visual quality of low bitrate movies, and is based on original DirectShow filter from XviD, which is GPL'ed educational implementation of MPEG4 encoder.

Notes about latest versions of FFDShow MPEG-4 Video Decoder :

- FFDShow 2009-11-08 (rev. 3128) was compiled by drevil_xxl using GCC 4.1.1 (libavcodec.dll & libmplayer.dll), FFDShow 2009-11-03 (rev. 3124) MMX* was compiled by clsid using ICL9 while FFDShow 2009-11-03 (rev. 3124) SSE** was also compiled by clsid using ICL9.
* Only for CPUs with support for MMX (MultiMedia eXperience) instructions.
** Only for CPUs with support for SSE (Streaming SIMD Extensions) instructions. Check if your CPU has support for SSE or SSE2 instructions using Cpu-Z, a small tool which shows infos about CPU.

First of all, the FFDSHOW consumes way less CPU power than original DivX codecs, even with maximum post-processing. At the same time the post-processing seems to give excellent quality results and allows more configuring than the original DivX 5 codec. It can even automaticly reduce post-processing if your CPU is getting overloaded. The noise filter adds a kind of a rasterising effect to the picture - might be useful in some cases. The alpha version also includes experimental playback for MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 files (such as VCD and SVCD movies), which works pretty damn well. Only problem is that MPEG-2 playback can't play the SVCD clips directly from the CD, but requires the video to be extracted to the HDD by using VCDGear first.
