Sad Wings of Destiny is the second album by the British heavy metal group Judas Priest, released in 1976.
The cover art for the album, titled Fallen Angels, was illustrated by Patrick Woodroffe. It is best known for introducing the pitchfork-like symbol known as the "Judas Priest Cross," as worn by the angel.
Sad Wings of Destiny was Judas Priest's second and final studio record made while under contract with Gull Records, an independent UK company. Despite critical acclaim, the band was struggling financially due to lack of support from the label. Shortly after changing management, the band severed their ties with Gull and signed with Columbia Records. Consequently, Judas Priest lost all rights to the recordings on their first two albums and to all demo recordings made during the sessions while under contract with Gull. Sad Wings of Destiny was initially published and distributed by Janus Records in the United States.
Whilst the band lost the rights to recording royalties, they obtained copyright ownership of the songs themselves, many of which became staples for their live shows. "Victim of Changes", "The Ripper", "Tyrant" and "Genocide" appear on Judas Priest Unleashed in the East, a live album released by CBS in 1979. "Diamonds and Rust", a Joan Baez song originally recorded for Sad Wings, but left off of the final album, was re-recorded for Sin After Sin, their first CBS release, and also on Unleashed. Gull later released the band's original recording of "Diamonds and Rust" on a 'best of' album.

Judas Priest - Turbo (1986)
12-08-2010 18:28 Judas Priest - Turbo (1986)
Quality: 320 Kbps
1."Turbo Lover" – 5:33
2."Locked In" – 4:19
3."Private Property" – 4:29
4."Parental Guidance" – 3:25
5."Rock You All Around the World" – 3:37
6."Out in the Cold" – 6:27
7."Wild Nights, Hot & Crazy Days" – 4:39
8."Hot for Love" – 4:12
9."Reckless" – 4:17
Turbo is the 10th studio album by British heavy metal band Judas Priest.
The album was recorded at Compass Point Studios in Nassau, Bahamas and mixed January - February 1986 at Record Plant Studios in Los Angeles, California. This album was first released on April 15, 1986. A remastered CD was released in 2002, adding two bonus tracks. The album marked the band's first use of guitar synthesizers.
Following the success of their previous album, Defenders of the Faith, Judas Priest initially recorded a double album called "Twin Turbos", which was never released. Instead, the material was split, with the more commercial songs appearing on Turbo. While it sold well initially, going Gold (RIAA) on June 10, 1986 and Platinum on July 24, 1987 and reaching #33 in the UK and #17 on Billboard 200, the reaction from fans was negative. Sales tapered off and the live album from the subsequent tour tanked.
"Reckless" was asked to be on the Top Gun soundtrack, but Judas Priest declined, both because they thought the film would flop and because it would have meant leaving the song off Turbo. Ironically, they contributed the title track to the film Johnny Be Good two years later, which was a commercial failure.
"Parental Guidance" was written and recorded in response to Tipper Gore's attack on the band. Her organization, the Parents Music Resource Center (PMRC), placed "Eat Me Alive" (from Defenders of the Faith) at #3 on their list of offensive songs (a.k.a. the "Filthy Fifteen"), as it allegedly was about performing oral sex at gunpoint.
"Turbo Lover" was featured as one of the songs in the U.S. release of the 2001 PlayStation 2 game Gran Turismo 3.
The album was ranked #39 on Metal-Rules.com list over the 50 greatest glam metal albums.
The line at the end of "Parental Guidance", One life I'm gonna live it up!, is a nod to the earlier Judas Priest song "You've Got Another Thing Comin'".

Judas Priest - Stained Class (1978)
12-08-2010 18:28 Judas Priest - Stained Class (1978)

2."White Heat, Red Hot" (Tipton) – 4:20
3."Better By You, Better Than Me" (Gary Wright) – 3:24 (Produced by Judas Priest and James Guthrie)
4."Stained Class" – 5:19
5."Invader" (Halford, Tipton, Ian Hill) – 4:12
6."Saints in Hell" (Halford, K.K. Downing, Tipton) – 5:30
7."Savage" (Halford, Downing) – 3:27
8."Beyond the Realms of Death" (Halford, Les Binks) – 6:53
9."Heroes End" (Tipton) – 5:01
10."Fire Burns Below" – 6:58
11."Better By You, Better Than Me (Live)" (Wright) – 3:24
Stained Class is the fourth album by the British heavy metal group Judas Priest, released in February 1978. A popular album in the band's catalogue, Stained Class showcased a more streamlined songwriting style while not compromising on the band's trademark heavy metal riffs. The production is crisper, clearer, and cleaner than any of their preceding albums. This is the only Judas Priest album to feature songwriting by all five members (one of Ian Hill's few contributions to the songwriting process for the band, and the sole contribution thereof by then-drummer Les Binks - the guitar riff for Beyond the Realms of Death). Following this album the band broke its songwriting team down to Rob Halford, K.K. Downing and Glenn Tipton, with occasional contributions solely by Tipton.
The sleeve artwork, by Roslav Szaybo at CBS Records, introduced their classic logo, replacing the Gothic Script logo of earlier releases. Stained Class is considered by many to be the last of the four "classic" Judas Priest albums. It was highly influential in the development of the speed metal subgenre and was the first Judas Priest album to dent the Billboard 200. The album was remastered in 2001, with two bonus tracks added. In 2004, UK magazine Metal Hammer named Stained Class the heaviest metal album of all time.
An unfortunate legacy of Stained Class is the 1990 civil action brought against the band by the family of a teenager, James Vance, who entered a
pact with his friend Ray Belknap after listening to "Better By You, Better Than Me" on December 23, 1985. Belknap succeeded in killing himself, and Vance was left horribly disfigured. The suit alleged that the band recorded subliminal messages on the song that said "do it". The suit was eventually dismissed.

Unleashed in the East is Judas Priest's first live album, recorded live in Tokyo, Japan during the Hell Bent for Leather tour in 1979. They released it in October 1979.
This was the first of their albums to have Tom Allom as their producer: he would produce all subsequent albums up to, and including, 1988's Ram It Down. It was also their first album to reach the US Top 100, something that all of their subsequent studio albums would equal.
There have been many rumours about the album's authenticity as a "live" recording over the years, with claims that most, if not all, of Rob Halford's vocal tracks were overdubbed in the studio, along with the guitar tracks of Glenn Tipton and K.K. Downing. In particular, a popular rumour has it that the album was completely recorded in the studio, and cleverly engineered to sound like a "live" recording. Tipton has denied these claims, admitting, however, that some of Halford's vocals were "touched up" in the studio as his performance was affected by flu during the tour, along with "a couple" of guitar parts, hence the rumours about the album which some people jokingly refer to as "Unleashed In The Studio". However, bootlegs and/or radio broadcasts from this and other tours would indicate that Priest had no difficulty 'cutting it' live. There was also a rumour that the cover photo was posed in The Queensway Hall, Dunstable, England, with Halford strategically positioned to obscure the vacant drumstool, Binks having left the band by that time.

Priest...Live! is the second live album (and 12th overall) by Judas Priest, recorded at The Omni, Atlanta, Georgia on 15 June 1986 and the Reunion Arena, Dallas, Texas on 27 June 1986.
All of the songs on Priest...Live! were recorded on their 1986 Fuel for Life tour which supported the Turbo album. There were no tracks from their 1970s albums, though the 2002 remastered version did contain "Hell Bent for Leather" as a bonus track. While it may have sounded more "live" than Unleashed in the East, Priest...Live! did not sell as well as that album but eventually went Gold in the US. The album received a negative review from Allmusic (2/5 stars), but it currently has a 5/5 customer review rating on iTunes.
The version of "Heading Out to the Highway" on this album includes a separate solo by K.K. Downing and Glenn Tipton that was not on the original studio version. The song is also longer due to the additional solos, while the one of "Breaking the Law" includes a Downing solo by that was also not on the original version.
The album was first released on June 21, 1987. The 2LP set came in a gatefold sleeve with artwork inners. It was re-released in a digitally remastered edition in 2002 with three bonus tracks.
Also, the video for this concert was featured on the Judas Priest video recap DVD "Electric Eye" in 2003. The live video was recorded in it's entirety at the Reunion Arena in Dallas on 27 June 1986.

Death on the Road is a live CD, LP, and DVD released by the British heavy metal band Iron Maiden on August 30, 2005 (CD & LP version), respectively on February 6, 2006 (DVD version). It contains songs which were performed at Westfalenhalle, Dortmund, Germany, on 24 November 2003 during the band's Dance of Death Tour (2003–2005).
During the first week after the album's release, it entered the national charts in several countries; Finland (no. 6), Sweden (no. 7), Norway (no. 12), France (no. 14), Italy (no. 17), Switzerland (no. 17), Spain (no. 18), United Kingdom (no. 22), Ireland (no. 27),the Netherlands (no. 39), India (no.29).
The DVD was released on February 6, 2006. It is a 3 DVD set, with the first DVD being the concert in 5.1 Digital audio, the second DVD being the concert in stereo, and the third DVD being special features, including the documentary listed below, and all promo videos from the Dance of Death album. Reportedly, the first DVD of the set is faulty in many cases, as two of the three guitar tracks' volume being tuned down, specificly Dave Murray's track.
The DVD set features a full 70-minute documentary directed by Matthew Amos charting the album's creation and the subsequent preparations for the following tour. The feature length program includes candid and personal footage of the band during the recording and writing of the album, which is the first time it's ever been filmed.
In 2005 when Edward the Great was re-released the recording of "Fear of the Dark" from this album was included.
The cover was by Melvyn Grant, and on the carriage are the words 'Edward and Son Undertakers', a reference to Eddie.

Iron Maiden - A Matter Of Life and Death (2006)

8."For the Greater Good of God"
9."Lord of Light"
10."The Legacy"
A Matter of Life and Death is the 14th studio album by English heavy metal band Iron Maiden. It was released on 25 August 2006 in Italy and in Finland, 28 August worldwide, and 5 September 2006 in the United States, Canada and Japan. It is the first heavy metal album to debut at #4 in India, and made it to #2 in the Indian charts. It is also one of the few rock/metal albums to go platinum in India. It is the first album in Iron Maiden's more than 30 year career to enter the U.S. Billboard charts in the top 10 and the third album where Steve Harris has had a song writing credit on every track, and has seen significant chart success in many other countries.
While the album is not a concept album, war and religion are recurring themes in the lyrics throughout the album, as well as in the album's artwork. The title is also linked with the war theme, as it shared with a 1946 film whose primary character is a WWII Royal Air Force pilot.
A Matter of Life and Death Tour was the tour supporting the album.
The band, still consisting of the same lineup as their previous two studio albums (making it the second most stable lineup; see Powerslave), started to write the songs near the end of 2005 after their hugely successful appearances in the U.S. and Europe. By the end of the year, the songs were done and they started rehearsing at Sarm West Studios in London.
At 72 minutes, A Matter of Life and Death is the band's longest album to date (exceeding 1995's The X Factor by approximately one minute) and its average song length (7:12) also makes it the longest Iron Maiden album by song average. In order to provide a more "live" sound, the album was not mastered.
This is the band's fourth studio album that is not named after a specific song on the album, following Piece of Mind, The X Factor and Virtual XI.
The album cover was created by Tim Bradstreet, an American artist, currently best known for his covers on the Punisher comics.
During their North American, Japanese and European tours, they performed the entire album in full. They announced after the show at Earl's Court, London on December 23, 2006, that the album would never be played in its entirety again.
